Dr. Mimi Lee stands apart from other cosmetic and vein specialists in Arkansas. Her approach and experience provide her patients with the reassurance that they will get the results they want with little, if any, discomfort and downtime from treatment.
“My compassion allows me to connect emotionally to my patients to provide them trusting care,” Dr. Lee explains.
A trusted friend
“I want my patients to feel like they’re trusting their care to a friend who only wants the best for them,” Dr. Lee explains. “I take the time to get to know my patients and understand their issues, needs and wants. I coordinate my care with other physicians when needed to make sure my patients are taken care from head to toes literally.”
“I would never recommend a treatment that a patient may not need or benefit from,” she adds. “On the other hand, if I believe they would highly benefit from a treatment, I would do my best to address their concerns and calm any fear to make it a reality for them.”
An expert with a surgeon’s precision and an artist’s touch
Dr. Lee has two decades of experience in microinjections and has personally injected over 130,000 units of Botox/Dysport and more than a thousand syringes dermal fillers. She is known for her extensive knowledge and passion for aesthetic treatments. Botox and Dermal filler injections may seem quick and simple but there is tremendous amount of thinking and artistry involved. Dr. Lee knows and understands facial muscles and their interactions. She carefully evaluates every patient to determine what makes them look tired or sad and the best way to reverse their signs of aging with a little lifting and contouring here and there. Often a little can go a long way. Every face is different and her experience and technique allows her to achieve beautiful natural results.
A vein care pioneer
Dr. Lee is a pioneer in minimally invasive vein treatments. In 2001, she became the first physician in Arkansas to perform closure ablation treatment for varicose veins that replaced the traditional vein stripping surgery. Since that time, she has performed more than 2,200 closure procedures.
An advocate for her patients
What’s more, Dr. Lee has been instrumental in helping insurance companies such as Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield and Municipal Health to recognize endovenous ablation (the closure procedure) as a treatment option for varicose veins.
“Part of my job as a physician is to advocate for appropriate treatment options for my patients,” Dr. Lee said. “I want to be my patients’ voice whenever I can to make sure they can get the best, most affordable care possible.”
Dr. Lee is dedicated to improving the standards of practice and patient care related to venous disorders. She provides educational and observational opportunities for physicians and healthcare professionals from Arkansas and other states. Dr Lee is a physician consultant for the ClosureFAST ( also known as Venefit ) procedure.
Dr. Lee feels that sharing her knowledge and learning from others is the best way to make sure patients, now and in the future, receive the most innovative and effective treatments available.
“I like to share what I know with my patients and my medical colleagues so many lives can be changed for the better,” she says.
