Dysport® works by blocking nerve signals to the facial muscles into which it is contracted, softening existing dynamic wrinkles and preventing the formation of new ones. While it is commonly believed that this type of treatment will make your face look stiff and frozen, this is not the case. Your entire face will not be treated; Dysport® is only injected into certain muscles. You will still be able to make facial expressions as usual. However, the wrinkles that you see in your face will slowly begin to smooth out, resulting in a more youthful look.
